Stress
and anxiety has reached epidemic levels and affects almost all of us,
untreated it has very real and serious implications. . Relora was developed in America, by Next Pharmaceuticals after 18 months of screening more than 50 plant extracts from around the world in an attempt to find an effective treatment for anxiety. The research and development program for Relora involved bioassay-directed fractionation of plants, toxicity testing, and the Chick Social Separation-Stress procedure developed at the University of Mississippi specifically for screening anxiolytic and sedative properties of botanical extracts.
Relora is a proprietary,patented, standardised extract of 2 plant Magnolia officinalis and Phellodenron amurense which studies show to be a safe, effective, rapid-acting, non-sedating supplement, which promotes relaxation, calm and a feeling of well-being. Based on pre-clinical studies, Relora was designed and evaluated against the following concepts; "Relora helps control occasional mild anxiety or mild depression and the associated symptoms: irritability; emotional ups and downs; restlessness; tense muscles; poor sleep; concentration difficulties." (The study was designed by Dr. Walter G. Chambliss, Ph.D., Professor of Pharmaceutics, and Associate Director in the National Center for Natural Products Research in the School of Pharmacy of the University of Mississippi).
For further detail simply click here The plant extracts
in Relora bind to several important targets associated with anxiety
that are located in the central nervous system. It does not bind
to the benzodiazepine receptors that would cause sedation, the way that
Valium and Prozac do, yet has the relaxing qualities as the benzodiazepine
class of drugs. |
