How does Relora work................................................................................................................................. The active ingredients in Relora help support normal levels of the hormones Cortisol and DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone). What Happens When We're Stressed When we're stressed and anxious our bodies increase the levels of the two hormones Cortisol and DHEA. When the stress is gone the body adjusts levels of these hormones again and the right balance is returned. However, when the stress or anxiety is prolonged or constant the body makes greater amounts of Cortisol and less DHEA and the unpleasant symptoms related to stress begin to appear. These can include irritability, apathy, depression, constant anxiety, loss of appetite, lack of concentration, loss of sex drive and increased smoking, drinking or eating (comfort eating). Physical signs can include tiredness, aches and pains, often muscular pains or headaches, skin problems, heart palpitations, nausea and stomach problems. Studies carried out in the U.S have measured Cortisol and DHEA levels in patients with mild to moderate general stress and shown that after a two-week regime of Relora® there was a significant decrease in Cortisol and increase in DHEA. (A two-week regimen of Relora® caused a significant (P= 0.003) increase in salivary DHEA (227%) and a significant (P = 0.01) decrease in morning salivary cortisol levels (37%). Cortisol and DHEA levels were returned to normal in all subjects during the course of Relora). Pre-clinical studies have also been carried out with people experiencing symptoms of irritability; emotional ups and downs; restlessness; tense muscles; poor sleep; concentration difficulties. Results of the studies found:
Importantly Relora does not bind to the benzodiazepine receptors that would cause sedation, the way that Valium and Prozac do, yet has the relaxing qualities of these benzodiazepine class of drugs. There have been a number of clinical trials and studies on Relora for more details click on the links below. Alleviate Stress and Improve Sleep with Relora
